SPUP KDC CONDUCTS DISCUSSION-FORUM ON PHILGEPS

The SPUP Knowledge for Development Center conducted half-day PHILGEPS (Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System) discussion-forum for SPUP students on August 7, 2008. This activity aimed at supporting the youth in promoting transparency in online procurement in local government units of Cagayan.

The students were also given orientation on how to participate in the online discussion on exercising citizenship for the youth at www.IspeakNow.multiply.com/. This online discussion is a component of the World Bank proejct entitled, "Popularizing and Operationalizing the 2007 World Development Report: Exercising Citizenship in Transparency in Local Government Procurement".
