THE MOBILE KDC

The SPUP Mobile KDC, the only mobile KDC in the Philippines, once again conducted storytelling sessions in Tananguinit, Bitag Grande, Baggao, Cagayan on August 31, 2008.

The KDC Librarian, Romeo Ong-ongawan and 3rd year SPUP BLIS (Bachelor of Library Science) students, namely: Merlie Narag, Girlie Cabrera, Maryjane Tagacay, Marjorie Turingan, Jaymar Esteban, and Benjie Cabrera composed the Mobile KDC Group. Storytelling sessions were done in two ways: plain or direct storytelling and storytelling with pictures. Each student related one kind of story and the children were asked to draw the characters or any of the events that took place in every story related.

After the activity, the group proceeded to San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan to help arrange the library of the SPUP Pastoral Center and to deliver books donated by the SPUP High School Library.

This project has been made possible by the unending support of the SPUP Community Development Center headed by Sr. Edna Tagamolila, spc
