The KDC of Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP) and the SPUP Community Development Center joined forces in sharing knowledge with young residents of Sitio Tananguinit in Bitag Grande, Baggao Cagayan on March 16, 2008 as part of its Mobile KDC project. They briefed the parents on the objectives of the program and the planned activities for both adults and the children of the community. Reading and storytelling sessions were conducted by the team using books borrowed from the SPUP Grade School Library.
The next stop for the team was the SPUP Pastoral Center at San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan where they organized a library for the community. The donated materials included books selected from the KDC, the Knowledge and Information Resource Network and those donated by the Asia Foundation through the World Bank Philippines KDC. The team also provided magazines bookends and a magazine stand for the new library.
